I would just like to add that he's a Sacc-o-shit for fueling a terroristic hate machine that wants nothing more than the annihilation of Jews.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6023447584723200206.post-63967011207510753532009-10-31T03:01:32.235+00:002009-10-31T03:01:32.235+00:00I have to disagree with the assertion: "Sacc...I have to disagree with the assertion: "Sacco mitigates this bias by constantly confronting the reader with the problems inherent in investigative journalism: contradictory stories, incomplete accounts and unwilling interviewees. By acknowledging that he may not have the full story, he arguably presents as honest a picture of his discoveries as possible." In my view, Sacco consciously and somewhat disingenuously uses this approach as a ploy to counter the obvious charges of bias he will attract. It plainly was "possible" for him to present a more balanced, honest picture--all he had to do was present the Israeli perspective, whatever it may have been. If the Israeli perspective is inherently implausible or indefensible, he's off the hook--but he never presented it. Regardless of whether one agrees with Sacco's view, it seems undeniable that he made no serious attempt to present a balanced story; he wants the reader to sympathize with the Palestinians, and makes sure that the reader has no choice but to do so.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6023447584723200206.post-56589911774996435442009-10-04T15:58:05.491+01:002009-10-04T15:58:05.491+01:00wow, great blog!wow, great blog!rebeccanoreply@blogger.com
